Medelina K. Hendytio is currently the Deputy Executive Director and Senior Researcher at the Department of Politics and Social Change, Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Jakarta. Her research areas cover: Administrative Development, Bureaucratic Reform, Education and Gender. She teaches Public Policy Analysis at the Diponegoro University graduate program. She has also more than 10 years consulting experience in international donor-funded projects with a focus on governance, gender, as well for conducting monitoring and evaluation. She is currently the Dissemination Leader for the CRISEA project.

Generations and Identity

The  study will  observe the relevancy of ASEAN identity in this contemporary world. Will there be any other contesting force of regionalism beside ASEAN identity? If so, what are the determinants and who are the actors? What role does younger generation (milleneals) have in this process? Sustaining or contesting ASEAN identity cut a cross practices of constructing regionalism, nationalism and a more ethno-religious types of secluded identity in the region or in each ASEAN respective countries.
